Elvis Posey Obituary
Elvis Dean Posey of Summersville, Kentucky, son of Joyce M. Stearman Posey of Summersville and the late L.P. Posey, was born on Tuesday, January 7, 1969 in Taylor County and departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his home. He was 57 years, 1 month, and 10 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Taylors Chapel Church. He worked as a truck driver.
Besides his mother, he is also survived by one daughter: Jennifer Mays of Greensburg; two sons: Andrew Posey of Elizabethtown, Suede Posey of Greensburg; nine grandchildren: Donovan Posey, Hunter Mays, Landon Mays, Peyton Mays, Ruger Mays, Cash Allen Posey, Patrick Brandon Posey, Conner Jace Posey, Audrena Faye Posey all of Green County; one brother: Charles Posey of Summersville; two sisters: Melanie Cruse of Summersville, Stephanie Posey of Mount Sherman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a daughter: Keisha Posey.

The funeral service for Elvis Dean Posey will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating.
Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Thursday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Friday at the funeral home until time of the service.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
