James Robert Posey

James Robert Posey, affectionately known as "Jay," was born on November 25, 1992, and departed this life on February 3, 2026. His warmth and spirit touched the many lives he encountered, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jay is survived by his loving family. He was the cherished son of Franklin L Posey Jr and Susan G Gilbert. He was a beloved father to Kenneth James Posey and LeeAnn Marie Posey (their mother, Nicole Haney), and Zayden Posey Anthony, and the proud partner of Jackie Miller, the mother of Zayden. He is also survived by his brothers, Taylor Martin Koch and Eric Gosnell, as well as his grandparents, Franklin L Posey Sr and Barbara A Posey, and his aunt, Michelle Woodall.

In honoring Jay's memory, family and friends are invited to join in a special visitation on February 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals located at 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC. A funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the same day. 

Jay will forever be remembered for his loving nature, unwavering devotion to his family, and for the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy will continue to live on through his cherished children and the countless memories shared with family and friends. May he rest in peace.
