David "Julio" DeRusse, 78 of Jacksonville, Arkansas went to the with the Lord on Tuesday, May 27th 2025.
He was born in Chorpus Christi, TX to parents Salathiel DeRusse and Juanita Perez DeRusse. He graduated from Jacksonville High School before serving in the United States Air Force from 1967-1990. Upon retiring from the Air Force, he continued to serve his country as a health technician for the V.A. Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce DeRusse, three beautiful daughters, Deona Schut (Todd), Denae Charlesworth (Mike) and Jamie Trapp (Clark), step son Carl McReynolds Jr. (Cara) ; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Everyone who knew "Julio" couldn't help but chuckle at his corny sense of humor. He always enjoyed making others laugh. Whether he was on the golf course at Hickory Creek, singing in church where he was a member at Indian Head Lake, performing karaoke, riding motorcycles with Joyce or playing pool at the VFW, he was always ready for a good time. Dave was a talented musician and a caring friend. He will be missed by many and thought of often by those who loved him.
Visitation will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 W. Main St. in Jacksonville from 10:30-11:30, Wednesday, June 4th.
Service will be graveside at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 1504 Loop Rd. Jacksonville at 12:00, Wednesday, June 4th.
