Marengo-David Eldon Doehrmann was born April 12, 1960, in Marengo, Iowa, the son of Eldon and Donna (Kuhnle) Doehrmann. He attended the Lutheran Interparish School in Williamsburg and graduated from Williamsburg High School in May of 1978. He went to Lincoln Tech in Des Moines to become a certified Master Auto Technician. He worked for McGurk-Meyers Motors in Coralville for 31 years, then David went to work for Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg for the last 13 years before his illness. David was united in marriage to Terri Mellecker on May 8, 1993. To this marriage they were blessed with two children, Paul and Joscelin. In August 2019 they were blessed with a daughter-in-law Olivia joining the family. David loved many things, but foremost he loved spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for going to and having garage sales, going antiquing, going to the What Cheer Flea Market where they had a booth for several years, NASCAR, traveling, playing sheepshead and he had a love for the Iowa Hawkeyes. When David went for a road trip or adventure it seemed like there were a lot of U-turns or a lot of backing up, you just never knew where the road would take him. There was never a dull moment when around David. David Passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the University of Iowa Holden Cancer and Transplant and Cellular Therapy Center, at the age of 64 years old.
