David Donahue

David Donahue, 59, of Best, Netherlands formerly of Westford, MA, died on Friday, February 7, 2025, after a brief acute battle with cancer.
Born in Concord, MA he was the beloved son of Margaret (Kavanagh) Donahue of Westford and the late Edward J. Donahue.
David grew up in Westford and was educated at Westford Academy, Boston College The Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
David had a long career in investment management in Europe. He held a CFA designation and several FINRA certifications and provided expertise to public and family offices. Most recently he was involved in Africa development investing focused on climate resilience. In parallel, he mentored students at M.I.T. and the Isenberg School of Management.
David enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid biker and hiker. He made frequent trips to the US to visit family and always sought out new and interesting places to explore and spend time with his nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother he is survived by his brothers, Edward and his wife, Megan Donahue of Norfolk, MA, William and his wife, Stacia Donahue of Harvard, MA, his sister, Megan and her husband, Thomas Michal of Westford, MA, and his nieces and nephews, Colleen, Caitlin, Tom, Allie, Joe, Lillian, Erica and a host of cousins.
He was the brother of the late Eric Donahue.
