Anderson – David M. Dragoo, 78, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Community Hospital Anderson.
He was born in Muncie on May 16, 1946, the son of Claude C. Dragoo Jr. and Emma Jane (Erikson) Dragoo and graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1964.
David served his country honorably in The United States Army National Guard. He retired as Plant Manager of H & N Machine of Selma in 2010. He was an avid sports fan, especially Indiana University Basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed playing golf with his family.
Survivors include his four children, Janice Morse (Paul), Jeffrey Dragoo (Diana) Pamela Smith (John) and Michelle Dragoo; grandchildren, Courtney Dragoo (Andrew), Casey Dragoo (Cullen), PJ Morse and Janelle Morse (Justin); great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sutton, Parker and Emerie; a sister, Barbara Moore; along with his brother-in-law, Frankie McCreery.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Loucretia Dragoo in 2012; a sister, Susie McCreery; and his parents.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Edgewater Woods and Community Hospital Anderson for all of their loving care and support.
Services will be 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow privately in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.
