David W. Dudash, 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Born on February 13, 1958 in Hammond, Indiana he was the son of John and Marian (Konkey) Dudash.
He attended Crown Point High School graduating with the class of 1976. David graduated Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. David married his soulmate Bridget on April 16, 1988 in Crown Point at Saint Mary's Cathedral.
David was an engineer by trade and worked for many surveyor and engineering firms such as DLZ and Rieth-Riley before he retired.
Dave was a man who could fabricate or fix anything. If you needed something worked on from a lamp to a big RV, he would be the person that could do it. He would say; you take it apart and just figure it out.
Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. If you heard laughter and shouts of happiness, you knew that he was the cause and in the middle of it. He worked hard all his life, but gave freely to others.
In his spare time, he would invent and build items that were useful for himself and family. It was part of his nature and it is what made him Dave.
No matter what hardships he was facing, he believed that you just pushed through it. You made the best of it, and you kept going. Instead of giving up, his mantra was I can do it and he did. He was thankful for all he had in his life and knew that he was blessed.
He is survived by his wife Bridget of Plymouth; children: Jenny (Jordan) Bedan of Noblesville, IN; Joseph and Jordan Machowiak of South Bend; Robert (Olivia) Dudash of Plymouth; brothers John Dudash and Paul Dudash; grandchildren Aaliyah, Olivia and Millie.
David is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 11-1 pm at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. A memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Tim Lee officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Milton Adult Day Services, 111 Sunnybrook Ct. South Bend, IN 46637 or www.miltonads.org/donation.
