EATON — David K. Dyer, 67, of Eaton, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025.
He was born Sept. 26, 1958, in Hazelwood, North Carolina, to the late Vergil Ray and Jean (Bryson) Dyer. Dave was an avid pool player and competed in leagues and tournaments. He was a professional drywaller and owned his own company in Eaton. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Moose Lodge in Richmond and the VFW in Eaton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancée Cheryl Kersey.
He is survived by his son Brandon Dyer of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; siblings Robert (Joyce) Dyer of Sylva, North Carolina; James "Buzz" Dyer of Allen's Creek, North Carolina; Kenny Dyer of Crouso, North Carolina; Shelbia (David) Hyatt of Waynesville, North Carolina; Michael "Boone" (Lynda) Dyer of Eaton and Jeffrey Dyer of Waynesville, North Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
