DAVID A. ETNYRE

I became well acquainted with Dave when we both worked in the Netherlands during a summer college internship program in 1977. Three years later, Dave attended my wedding. We both lived in different parts of the country but always kept in touch, even until earlier this year. I just learned today of Dave's passing after calling to congratulate him on Northern Illinois' victory over the Fighting Irish. I found that his phone number was no longer in service and a Google search for a new phone...

Grief can be so hard, Dave was a good boss, at NIU & friend. He talk about his kids an mom alot. Always have nice things to say about his family. Loved his Cubs, music . So sorry, this always comes way to early! God's blessings you all!

I am so terribly sad to read this. Dave was a dear man and friend of our entire family. He was in our wedding. I know he is partying in heaven with Ted Jr. and Bill. He is also rejoicing with his parents. He is missing but watching over all of his family on earth. Love you Dave!

You were the nicest neighbor! I liked your stories of your experiences in life. You were always there to lend a helping hand to all that needed it.

Dave was a classmate of mine at Mercersburg Academy '72. I saw him a the 40th, 45th and 50th reunions. Such a good guy. So sorry for our loss.

Dave was the father of my dear friend from high school. He always showed up to our volleyball games and cheered us on. Even into adulthood, he celebrated our wins and encouraged us in whatever we took on. I will always remember his warmth and his smile. Rest easy, Dave
