David F. Ferguson, 78, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Joplin, MO. He was born on October 24, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, to the late Woodrow Ferguson and Euvon (Martin) Ferguson.
David's work ethic was evident from his youth, where for two years, he diligently ran a Joplin Globe paper route. His commitment to his community continued to grow as he became a respected Waste Water Operator in Springfield, MO. David's sense of duty extended beyond his professional life as he honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. His patriotism was further expressed through his active participation in the Republican Tea Party and the American Legion.
A man of many interests, David was also an avid amateur radio operator, a valued member of the HAM club. David's faith played a central role in his life, and he was a devoted member of Forest Park Baptist Church, where he found strength and fellowship.
He is survived by his loving children, Deanna Ferguson and Darren Ferguson; his siblings, Joan Coonrad, Tena Ferguson Dudley, and Sharon Johnson; and his seven adored grandchildren. Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph White.
