It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James David Fitch, aged 65, on December 21, 2025. Born on August 26, 1960, in Athens, Tennessee, David was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Residing in Decatur, Tennessee, David dedicated his life to his work as the owner and operator of Fitch Lawn Care. His tireless commitment to his business reflected his strong work ethic and passion for serving his community.
David was preceded in death by his parents: Hubert and Imogene Fitch
David is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Lesia Fitch, and his cherished son, Aaron Fitch, along with daughter-in-law Keri Fitch and beloved granddaughter Sophia Fitch. He leaves behind a legacy of love and support that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honor of David's life, a funeral service will be held at the Decatur First Baptist Church on December 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life, sharing stories and memories that will forever keep his spirit alive in our hearts.
David will be laid to rest on December 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Upper Goodfield Cemetery on Sharp Road in Decatur, TN.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Decatur First Baptist Church prior to the service.
As we bid farewell to a truly amazing man, we invite everyone to come together to honor his memory and the indelible impact he made on our lives.
