David Michael Floyd

Mr. David Michael Floyd, age 64, of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on January 14, 2026, at his residence following a sudden illness.

David was born February 23, 1961, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Vernon Trio Floyd and the late Dora Pearl Wooten Floyd. He was machinist by trade and a member of IAM Union. He was employed as a machinist, working on newspaper printing presses for a number of years. Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by a grandson, Jaxon Lesteen Floyd, and 3 brothers: Johnny Wayne Floyd, Neil Joseph Floyd, and Michael Floyd.

David leaves behind two sons that he loved dearly, Jesse David Floyd of Broxton, Georgia, and Dylan Ray Floyd and wife Jessica of DuPont, Georgia. He was a loving granddad to his three grandchildren, Costa Cash Floyd, Beau Maddox Floyd, and Alora Jill Burkett. He also leaves behind a brother, Vernon B. Floyd and wife Judy of Douglas, Georgia, and three sisters, Mary F. Loiselle of Ocala, Florida, Susie F. Davis and husband Jimmy of Douglas, Georgia, and Barbara F. Newell and husband Jerry of Douglas, Georgia. Along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

David's family will receive friends on Monday morning, January 19, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Broxton Church of God. HIs funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at Broxton Church of God with Bishop Joey Copeland and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas Gospel Assembly Cemetery.
