Jerry Snipes

Jerry Snipes, age 77, of Nicholls passed away December 13, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born April 3,1948, in Broxton, Georgia to Bennie F. Snipes and Beatrice Rowell Snipes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Billy Snipes, Barry Snipes, Grady Snipes, Charlie Snipes and Carl Snipes and two sisters, Ruby Hersey and Kathlene Joseph. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Eula Davidson Snipes; sons, Ronald Benjamin Snipes (Stacy) and Bennie Ronald Snipes (Amy); daughter, LeBea Eula Snipes all of Nicholls; two brothers, James Snipes of Nicholls and Fred Snipes of Montana; also, eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 17, 2025, in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home at 2 PM with Rev. Steve Newton officiating and eulogy given by LeBea Snipes. Interment will follow at Saginaw Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Ronnie Burch, Danny Hersey, Austin Snipes, David White, Dick Stone, and Kerry Moore. Honorary pallbearers include his nurses with Bethany Hospice and Alfred Hersey.
