Michael Leroy Palmer, age 63, of Alma passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, Georgia after an extended illness. He was born on March 9, 1962.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian S. Suttlemyre; stepfather, Jim Suttlemyre; and a sister, Alison McMillan.
Mike was a devoted son/ husband/father and a cherished community member. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and hiking mountain trails.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Meeks Palmer; two sons, Billy Palmer (Kayla) and Chris Palmer (Kebra); three stepdaughters, Sarah Morris, Rebecca Sellars (Seth), and Ashley Arnold (Eric); one stepson, Kyle Morris; sister, Vicky Chace (Ray); niece Sierra Davis; five grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Crosby Funeral Home Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM.
A memorial service will be held at Lees Chapel Baptist Church Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Howell, Rev. Greg Delk and Rev. John Sasser officiating.
