Larry Johnson

Larry Edward Johnson, age 79, passed away February 12, 2026, after an extended illness.He is a native of Bacon County born June 14, 1946, to the late Wesley Johnson and Dorothy Meeks Johnson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Carter Johnson; his son, Eugene Johnson; daughter, Tessie Johnson; granddaughter, Jessica Johnson; great-granddaughter, Riley Johnson; brother, Laverne Johnson; sisters, Betty Taylor, Mary Sue Chapel, and Deanie Ellis.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Dudley (Erik) of Alma; son, Keith Johnson (Gloria); his loving partner, Gail Nipper; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Monday at Wolf Pit Church Cemetery at 2 PM with Rev. Danny Turner and R.B. Gaskins officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Jayson Nelson, Bronk Murray, Shane Nipper, and Brody Fitchett.
