Faye Marie McGahee

Fay Marie McGahee, age 87, passed away February 06, 2026, at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born in Tupelo, MS, to the late Samuel Lee Wouldridge, Sr. and Arcula Bevedere Lindsay Wouldridge. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Carlton McGahee; two sons, Eugene Wilson and Wade Flowers; daughters, Regina Scott, Linda Flowers, and Peggy Layport; brother, Samuel Lee Woodridge, Jr.; sisters, Christine Perry and Louise Fayerene Wouldridge.

She retired as a sales manager with B.P. Station after many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ellis (Keith), Debra Stanbrough, Lisa Crosby, and Cathy Cain (Todd); sister, Shirley Webb; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Jeffrey Taylor officiating and a poem read by Cathy Cain. Interment will follow at Carter's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Austin Delacruz, Robert Layport, Doug Layport, Kao Kadri, Stanley Layport, and Daniel Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers include Kim Herrington and Todd Cain.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
