David Allan Foley

David Allan Foley, 61, of Clearfield, Utah, passed unexpectedly on December 6, 2025, at his home in West Valley City.

Born on March 7, 1964, at a U.S. military base in Verdun, France, David dedicated his life to helping others, offering second chances, and always seeing the best in people. He retired from the Utah Department of Corrections after 20 years of service and later continued his career with the Utah Department of Transportation. David loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, riding motorcycles, and rock hounding with his wife, Penni.

David was preceded in death by his first wife, Robin; his eldest daughter, Samantha; and his stepson, Matrix. He is survived by his loving wife, Penni; his sister (A.K.A. sister-wife) Trish; his brother, Shawn; his children Holley, Amanda, Megan, AJ, and Jeri; his stepdaughter, Morgan; his grandchildren Amaudi, Samuel, Ezekiel, Kaden, Brynlee, Emmilynn, and Remington; and his step-grandson, Colin.

David will be remembered for his kindness, generous heart, and deep love for his family. His advice, his listening ear, and his infectious smile will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on January 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bicentennial Indoor Pavilion at Bicentennial Park, located at 530 E 8680 S, Sandy, Utah 84070. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend.
