David J. Foley, age 83, of Beverly, formerly of Medford and Belmont, passed away on March 16, 2026, lovingly surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband for 56 years of Eva G. (Piazza) Foley.
Born and raised in Medford, Dave was the son of the late David A. and Edith G. (DeSalvo) Foley. He attended Medford Public Schools and Medford High School. A “jack of all trades” he started as a painter which evolved into roofing, vinyl siding and windows as the owner of Medford Roofing and Vinyl since 1970.
In his spare time, Dave and Eva enjoyed spending time with their family and grandchildren at their homes on Sebago Lake and in Moultonborough, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee. He loved boating and, of course, socializing and dining at the popular lake destinations.
In addition to his devoted wife, Eva, Dave is lovingly survived by his children: Dana Foley and his life partner Sharyn, and Raquel Foley, all of Danvers. He was the cherished grandfather of Deren and Dustin Dube, and Brian Foley and his wife Kayleigh, and the great-grandfather of Lauren, Veronica and Kiera Foley. He is further survived by a son-in-law and friend Paul Dube. His sister, Patricia Dillree, predeceased him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a Visitation at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Friday, March 20 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s name may be made to the Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home Sawtelle Family Hospice House at www.bilhathome.org
