David Frederick Jr.
Age 88, of Goreville, IL, formerly of South Holland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Dave was born in Chicago, IL to the late David Sr. and Eleanor (nee Kleist) Frederick.
Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Anderson) Frederick; loving father of David (Mary) Frederick, Donald (Beth) Frederick, Douglas (Jeannette) Frederick, and Deann (Ed) Thurman; cherished grandfather “Pops” of Matthew (Michelle) Frederick, Michael Frederick, Jason (Brittany) Hard, Amber Hard, Rachel (Taylor) Jones, Kelly (Jacob) Christiansen, Victoria “Tori” Frederick, and Samantha Frederick; proud great-grand Pops of 12 and one expected in March; dear brother of Amelia (Ronald) Ganzer, George (Barbara) Frederick, and Esther Marie (late Kenneth) Speletich; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Dave was a tool grinder at Verson All Steel Press in Chicago, IL for 47 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and gardening. Dave was a car enthusiast and was a fan of NASCAR. He loved to spend time with family and friends. Dave will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 3:00 pm until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private.
