David Lee Galbraith, 80, joined his family in heaven when he passed away peacefully Monday, November 24, 2025 at his home with his family members by his side.
David was born at Lock Haven Hospital on April 23, 1945, the son of the late Donald K. and Dorothy E. (Lomison) Galbraith.
He was a 1963 graduate of Lock Haven High School and continued on to graduate from barber school in Harrisburg. Following this, David entered the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War, from which he was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. He then entered the Navy Reserves and then Army Reserves, retiring with the rank of SFC.
David worked at Cerro Metals in Bellefonte for over 35 years until the plant closed. He was a tool and die maker and a 1st Class Machinist.
In retirement, Dave liked to go to sales as well as on many occasions, help his family out with projects.
He belonged to the Dishpan Hunting Camp and loved going to camp with his family and friends.
Surviving are his son, Tim (Stacie) Galbraith of Ohio; daughter, Carolann (Randy) Humberston of Ohio; brother, Joseph Galbraith of Pleasant Gap; sister, Carol Houck of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles "Bill" Galbraith and Thomas M. Galbraith as well as his best friend in life, William Gebhardt.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 10 AM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Romola Cemetery, Howard.
A viewing for friends and family will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 until 8 P.M.
Memorial contributions in David's name may be made to either Clinton County Veterans Affairs or 365 Hospice through the funeral home.
