David Allen Geer, age 79, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The son of Irving Delos & Eleanor (Fialkowski) Geer, he was born on June 7, 1946 in Northville, Michigan. After graduating high school. David enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served as a missile technician during the Vietnam War.
On June 10, 1968, in Brighton, he married Carol Ann Styes and together they raised three children and had 52 years of marriage until Carol passed away. David retired from Phillips as a service technician, working everything from X-Ray machines to advanced electronics.
He was also preceded in death by his father, Irving Delos Geer on June 21, 1986; his step-father, Hugh Peake on July 29, 2007; a nephew, Michael Parkhill, Jr. on December 7, 2015; his wife, Carol Ann Geer on November 4, 2020; and his mother, Eleanor Geer Peake on October 13, 2023.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Geer & Craige Halladay; a son, Randy & Courtney Geer; six grandchildren, Lydia, Kiersten, Tyler, Andrew, Caitie, and Charlie; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Lily, Annabelle, and Elliot; a brother, Dan Geer; a sister, Diane & Mike Parkhill; siblings-in-law, Kenny & Tina Styes; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends.
Private committal services, with military honors, will be held at West Montcalm Cemetery.
