David Lawrence Gibbs

Passed away early Thursday morning October 13, 2022, at his home. David was born on July 24, 1950, to the late Claire and Lucille (Green) Gibbs in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating from Climax High School in 1968, David was drafted to serve his country proudly in the U.S. Army. After his service he started his career at Brown Paper Company which during his career became Graphic Packaging.
He loved to garden and watch the birds. David always had the tallest Zinnias and would get complemented on how beautiful his flower beds looked. He also had a yellow Camaro that was known around the neighborhood. He would play music for his family and would take long country rides often. He could cook the best food and he shared his love of cooking with everyone. He was so loved and will be missed by those who knew him.
Surviving David are his children, Amanda (Travis Mann) Gibbs, Jane (Thad) Hauk, David (Jaclyn) Gibbs, Pam (Robert) Cable, John Roe; brothers, Claire (Patty) Gibbs and Richard Gibbs; Sister Ruth Mawhiney; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in passing are his parents, three sisters, and three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
