David Lee Gibson, 71, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

He was born March 22, 1954 to the late Tony and Martha (Abbott) Gibson in Somerset, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist Faith. He found joy in playing the harmonica and guitar, writing songs, and spending peaceful moments feeding and observing birds. David was a very kind, generous, and giving man. He enjoyed talking on the phone with his sisters and his sons daily.

He is survived by his sons, Shannon (Cherel) Gibson, Tony (Loretta) Gibson, and Steven Gibson; his grandson, Brennon Gibson; sisters, Linda Aubrey, Shirl (Bill) Wolf, and Carolyn Watson; special friends, The Denmyers; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley Gibson, Johnny Gibson, and Kenneth Gibson; brother-in-law, Herman Aubrey; and his dog and best friend, Rascal.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of Lake Cumberland for taking great care of David.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Herd officiating.

Burial will be at Etna Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until time for services.
