David Cleve Gilliland, Aged 45 years, passed away on July 16, 2022.
He was a lifelong Auburn fan and a dedicated employee at Southern Controls for over 20 years.
David is survived by his childhood sweetheart, wife Julie; daughter, Ashley and her fiancé Brock Stewart; daughter, Rebecca; mother, Sherry Ray; sister, Vickie Chandler (Randy); brother, Brad Wright (Rae Ann); stepbrother, Steve Bryson (Ellen); stepsister, Sharette Bruner (Darryl); a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, lots of family and friends all over the country and at the Auburn Tigers tailgate.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.C. and Mertice Gilliland and stepfather, Freddie Ray.
Visitation will be held at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 1-3 pm followed by the funeral service at 3pm. Pastor Randy Greene will officiate.
Burial will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10 am at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on Highway 82 W in Chilton County. Pastor James Richards will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Brock Stewart, Robbie Gilliland, Marc Rusch, Andy Gilliland, Davis Judd and Travis Oats.

David will be missed greatly my wife Christy and myself went to several tailgates and loved hanging out with you guys. I know SCI will greatly miss David as a worker and a great friend to all.
