Daniel “Dylan” Joseph Gillis III passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 32.
Dylan was born on March 3, 1993, he brought light, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him. He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, MS and a 2011 graduate of Gulfport High School. Dylan was a kind and gentle soul whose smile and humor could brighten any day. He will be remembered for his big heart, his love for all things sports, his compassion for animals, and the joy he brought to family and friends throughout his life. He was an avid gamer and a passionate fan of the New England Patriots.
Dylan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anthonius and Geertruida Kindts and paternal grandparents, Betty and Daniel Joseph Gillis Sr.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Sonja and Daniel “Jody” Gillis Jr. and his siblings Shelby Gillis and Austin Gillis. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his dogs Jake, Bentley, and Duke, and all who were fortunate to know him.
Visitation will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the family of Daniel “Dylan” Joseph Gillis III.
The family invites all who loved Dylan to join them in celebrating his life and the beautiful memories he leaves behind.
