David Greenfield Obituary

Greenfield , David M.
MCKOWNVILLE - David M. Greenfield, 71, of McKownville, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. David was born to Milton and Beatrice (Van Voorhis) Greenfield, on May 17, 1954. He was raised alongside siblings Milton Jr. "Bucky," Kirkland, Herman, Fredericka "Ricky," and Ronald. He attended the Guilderland Central School District, and graduated Guilderland High School in 1972, as senior class president. He married twice, to Ruth (Sheehan) Greenfield, and Jeanne Gruenberg.
He is directly survived by his daughters, Hilary (Greenfield) Yodis and Tracy (Greenfield) Mayer; and grandchildren, Breana Charlotte Yodis and Julian Vincent Mayer.
David deeply loved his family, friends, and neighbors. He attended Temple Israel Hebrew School, was bar mitzvahed, and continued to attend Temple Israel through adulthood when able. He also took his Birthright Israel trip through the Temple. He was a whiz at Jeopardy! and rarely answered Final Jeopardy! incorrectly. He was a lifelong fan of baseball (well, the Mets), music, and bad jokes (like that Mets one). He will be sorely missed.
Services were held privately.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
