A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for David Greenhouse, age 63, of Marksville at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church located at 121 S Preston St, Marksville, with Father Abraham Varghese officiating. A repast will be held at The Knights of Peter Claver Hall 312 St. Catherine Street in Marksville.
David “Hungry” Greenhouse entered into rest on July 16, 2023, in Marksville, Louisiana. He was born on July 27, 1959, to Newman Greenhouse and Marjorie S. Greenhouse.
Mr. David Greenhouse is a graduate of Marksville High, class of 1977, and joined the Army in 1978.
David was preceded in death by his father, Newman Greenhouse, Sr.; grandmothers, Mary Shuler and Bessie Greenhouse, seven uncles, seven Aunts, one nephew and one great nephew.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Marjorie S. Greenhouse of Marksville; daughter, Doneshia Worthy of Marksville; sisters, Sharolene McGlory of Marksville and Christine Porterie of Huston, TX. Aunt, Lelia Greenhouse of Marksville; brothers, Newman (Connie) Greenhouse, Jr. of Marksville, Daniel (Rosa) Greenhouse of Marksville, Glenn R. (Janell) Greenhouse of Marksville and Freddie (Angie) Greenhouse of Mansura; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, in the chapel of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Active Pallbearers include Inex Greenhouse, Kerry Larcarte, Newman C. Greenhouse, Treveon McGlory, Aaron Greenhouse, Wesley Portorie, Kendrick Greenhouse, and Joseph Greenhouse.
Honorary Pallbearers include Newman Greenhouse, Jr., Daniel Greenhouse, Glenn Greenhouse, Freddie Greenhouse, Henry Shuler, Dondre’ Greenhouse, and Donald Winns
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Valley View Health Care Center and the Avoyelles Hospital staff, Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Father Abraham Varghese; Pastor of Holy Ghost Catholic Church of Marksville, as well as family and friends and all who have called and came by.
