David Grove Obituary
Dr. David Grove, age 89, passed away on March 22, 2025, in Highlands Ranch, CO. Born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, David was the only child of Olger and Evelyn Grove.
After graduating with his degree from University of Idaho, David moved to San Francisco where he met and married Kathy Blaine. They were married for 59 years until Kathy’s passing in 2021.
David leaves behind his two daughters Connie (Jeff) Keil and Cindy (Tim) Sullivan and his five grandchildren; Ashlyn and Erik Keil and Shannon, Kelly and Megan Sullivan.
During their life together David and Kathy enjoyed spending time outdoors in Colorado hiking, cross-country skiing and exploring the state. While they were in Colorado David earned his PhD from the School of Mines in Chemical Engineering. After having a successful career, he retired from the USGS and moved to The Villages, Florida. During their time in The Villages, they enjoyed playing golf, tennis, pickle ball and cards with close friends.
In honor of David's life, his family will come together in a private ceremony to share memories and honor the man who so positively influenced their lives.
