David Grow died Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 84.
Memorial services will be held next spring.
David John Grow was born in Dawson Minnesota on September 26, 1941 to John and Helen (Larson) Grow. He attended and graduated from Dawson High School in 1959. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963. After his discharge, he attended one year of butcher training at the Technical College. He would be a meat cutter for over thirty years at numerous locations in the area including Tim's Food Pride and Dean's Food Pride. He was united in marriage on June 16, 2007 to Vickie Ellen Peterson at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson.
David was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and bowling. Watching racing in Montevideo and Madison was a favorite pass time.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie; step-sons, Nathan (Amie) Peterson, Walla Walla, WA, Tad (Krista) Peterson, Dawson, MN; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Colton, Barrett, and Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Helen Grow ; a baby brother Paul; and in-laws, Howard and Jean Ellefson.
