David W. Gustafson, age 70 of Elk Grove Village, formerly of Evanston, Skokie and Riverside. Beloved son of the late Einar and the late Ruth (nee Strid) Gustafson, loving brother of Mel (Kris), Phil (Sue) and Glenn (Carol), fond uncle of Jim (Lynn) Gustafson, Cherie Gustafson, Meg (Jonathan Solomon) Gustafson, Laura (Craig) Cypress, Julie McCarthy, Elizabeth (Matt) Schommer, the late Kari Gustafson and great uncle of Owen, Carter, Libby, Archie and Camille. David was born and raised in Riverside and was a 1971 graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School. He received a B.S. degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. David worked his entire career in the sheet metal industry. He was actively involved and served as a council member at Ascension Lutheran Church in Riverside, was an avid golfer, bowler and 16” softball player.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Ascension Lutheran Church would be appreciated
