It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of David Handleman. David was born in Newark, NJ on April 4th, 1935, and passed away Sunday March 30th, 2025, at 89 yrs old.
Beloved husband of Sylvia. Loving father of Steven (Janet) Handleman and Michelle Frank.
Beloved grandfather of Joshua Handleman, Dana Handleman, Zachary Frank (Stefani) and Jacob Frank. Great grandfather of Abigail Frank, Brianne Frank and Grace Frank.
To say David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather doesn’t begin to speak to the commitment he had to family. He always put family first. There wasn’t a better role model as a father and loving spouse. He was truly dedicated to his family, and it showed every time you spoke with him and the smile that formed when he saw one of his kids, grandkids or great grandkids.
Professionally David was the quintessential Salesman and management consultant. In his spare time a raconteur, cook, collector of antique radios, excellent dancer (especially with Sylvia) and a true people person. He had schtick to spare and he shared it with everyone he met. He also shared his knowledge, caring, kindness and guidance generously with those in need.
“He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it…” (Bessie Anderson).
David will be missed dearly.
