David Lynn Hansen, 73, passed away on February 3, 2026.
Dave was born on May 7th 1952 in Pocatello, Idaho to Marvin Hansen and Laura Van. He had a brother (Russell) and a sister (Tami).
Dave grew up in Pocatello graduating from Highland high school in 1970. While in high school he met the love of his life, Angelete Campbell. When Dave graduated he attended ISU for auto body. In 1972, Dave and Angelete married. Dave hired on at Idaho Power in 1974. Dave and Angelete welcomed their first child Eric, in 1979. Two years later they welcomed their second boy, Nick.
Dave was a family man through and through coaching both his boys in sports and being there for everything they were involved in. Dave was so proud of his boys and loved Lisa and Josh just like his own. Dave also had a special bond with Aunt Cora McEachern, who he loved dearly. In 2001 he became a grandpa to Tyrus. He loved Tyrus so much, they were inseparable. In 2006 his 2nd grandchild Alex was born. Alex and Dave were best buddies.
Dave retired from Idaho Power after 40 years of service. Dave enjoyed playing golf, working around the house and being with his best friend Angie. Dave loved a challenge, there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. He taught us so much and loved us with all his heart. Dave will be greatly missed but we are so lucky he was our husband, dad, grandpa and friend.
Dave is survived by his wife Angie, sons Eric (Lisa), Nick (Josh), grandsons Tyrus and Alex Hansen.
An Open House will be held from 3:00 - 5:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID.
