David Anthony Hantzsche San Tan Valley, AZ
David Anthony Hantzsche, 76, went to rest in peace with the Lord on November 22, 2024, after a long and fulfilling life. His unwavering faith in God provided him with comfort and peace in his final days.
Born on May 10, 1948, in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Hantzsche, Dave was a proud Vietnam War veteran and a devoted member of the Franciscan Third Order. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to service and compassion. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1997 after 15 years of dedicated service.
A lover of nature, Dave enjoyed long walks with his dogs, exploring the outdoors, feeding the birds, and marveling at the beauty of wildlife. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, he found joy in helping others and connecting with people from all walks of life.
Dave lived in Akron, Ohio, before moving to Arizona City in 1983 and later to Phoenix in 1990. In 2010, he retired to Show Low, Arizona, before settling in San Tan Valley in 2023 to be closer to his grandchildren.
Dave was blessed with a large, loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Theresa Hantzsche; his children, David Hantzsche of Apache Junction, Dawnn and Enrique Galindo of Scottsdale, and Katie and David Franklin of San Tan Valley; his siblings, Joseph and Patricia Hantzsche of Buckeye, AZ, Karen and Michael Cook of Rapid City, SD, Fred Hantzsche of Arizona City, AZ, and Don and Georgia Howey-Hantzsche of Archer, FL; as well as eight beloved grandchildren and two precious great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymond Hantzsche.
In accordance with David's wishes, there will be no services held.
