David Lee Hardesty of North Richland Hills, Texas was born January 26, 1939 in Evanston Illinois to Ruth Elaine and Bernard Hardesty.
David passed away October 28, 2024 in Grapevine Texas at the age of 85.
David joined the Air Force and proudly served his country. He was honored with several awards including the Distinguished Flying Cross.
David continued his flying career flying commercially for Delta Air Lines He earned the rank of Captain. His travels allowed him to visit amazing
places. He really enjoyed traveling. He retired from Delta Air Lines but still loved to travel. He enjoyed the outdoors, mountains and snow skiing.
David was an avid reader and spent hours learning, with an extensive knowledge of computers. He happily shared his knowledge and computer
skills when the opportunities presented themselves.
David was also a family man. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
David was united in marriage to Johanna, who survives him in the home, on February 26, 1994. Stepdaughter Sheilah Fowler, Holiday Island,
Arkansas; Son Dan Hardesty and wife, Christine of Irving; Grandson Blake Hardesty and his wife Alexis, Granddaughter Anna Hardesty;
Son Brian Hardesty and wife MaryBeth of Allen; Grandson Christopher Hardesty and Granddaughter Lilliana Hardesty, Brother Jim Hardesty
and wife Signe, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his Mother Ruth Elaine Hardesty, Father Bernard Hardesty, Brother Alan Hardesty and Sister Joyce Bachus.
