David Eugene Harsh, age 61, of Sand Creek, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 16, 1963, in Adrian to John and Mary Lou (Fenton) Harsh. On January 29, 1983, he married the love of his life, Lisa Hamlin, in Jasper. They celebrated over 43 wonderful years together and raised their three beautiful girls.
David had been employed by Madison Public Schools for 28 years as a custodian. He made many friends in his time there and enjoyed making them laugh with his corny jokes. When he wasn't working, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and bird watching. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Lisa, he is survived by three crazy daughters, Sarah (Jerod) Schmidt, Katie (Justin) Strahan, and Jennifer (John) McGraw; nine grandchildren: McKenzie (Garrett), Adam, Brookie, Emmy Lou, Parker, Landon, Anna, Garrett, and Finn; two great grandchildren, Eleanor and Warren; one sister, Julie Westcott; three brothers, Jim (Sue) Harsh, Mike Harsh, and Mark Harsh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joey and Donnie Harsh.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services for David will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am with David's brother, Jim Harsh, officiating.
