David Healey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home on Mar. 31, 2026.
David Healey, 72, of Saugus, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 19th. A beloved brother, uncle, and friend, Dave was a fine carpenter and builder who began his profession at the age of 18. He loved his family, his many close friends, and his farm in Maine where he worked so hard to restore the old house and grounds. He was a generous man with a big heart and as anyone who knew him would attest, he loved to talk.

Born in Everett, he was a lifelong Saugonian and a proud member of the Saugus High class of 1972. Dave enjoyed playing and watching sports from a young age - and was an avid bird watcher and nature lover.

He was predeceased by his parents, John "Bud" Healey and Ann Vient; step-father, Louis Vient; and brother-in law Pat Cushman. He is survived by his sisters, Susan (Jack) and MaryAnn of Maine and brother, John (Pauline) of Rhode Island; niece and nephew, Anna Cushman and Connor Cushman; and members of the Vient family.

Dave left us too soon. We are heartbroken and will miss him so very much. Think of him when you see an osprey overhead or a bluebird in your yard, when you are having a nice time with your friends or family, when you are watching the Boston teams or an old movie. Remember him smiling and laughing.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Dave to the Massachusetts Audubon Society at https://www.massaudubon.org/ or by mail to Development Office, Mass Audubon,208 South Great Road' Lincoln, MA 01773
