David Edward Hedrick, age 79, of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, December 27th surrounded by love. He was the only child of Edward and Josephine Umberger Hedrick. He is survived by his loving family; wife, Regena Hedrick; sons, Joe Hedrick (Amy), Brandon (Stephanie); grandchildren, Colin and Autumn; sister-in-law, Ann Gayle Thomas, and many beloved family and friends.
A visitation will be held at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5 to 7 pm. A visitation is also to be held at Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, Virginia, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5 to 7 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11 am, in the Black Lick Cemetery, 2390 Black Lick Road, Rural Retreat, Virginia.
