David Heffner Obituary
Born October 9, 1933, in Alburtis, he was the son of the late David and Edna (Wetzel) Heffner.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Ray A. Master American Legion Post 217, Topton. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Caloric Corp., Topton, for 41 years. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Alburtis. David was a lifetime member of the Nimrod Fish & Wildlife Association and was also a member of the Emmaus Fire Company and the Alburtis Fire Company. For many years, he coached little league baseball in Alburtis. He enjoyed horse racing, going to the mountains, and being outdoors. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Surviving is his son; David L. Heffner Jr. and his wife Katherine of Pennsburg; grandchildren, Matthew Wetzel and his wife Amanda and Stephanie Wetzel and her fiancé Phillip; great grandson, Grayson; brother-in-law, Albert Hallman. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joanne Hallman.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 26th at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. A calling will precede the service from 1:00-2:00 PM. Interment to follow in Lehigh Zion Cemetery, Alburtis.
