David James Hill

David James Hill, age 83, of Saranac, passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1942 in Ada, MI, the son of Sam and Marie (Morrison) Hill. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Saranac and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 7719. David was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Judith Wekenman. David is survived by four brothers, Jon Hill of Ada, Joel Hill (Gayle) of Portland, Dennis Hill (Lynda) of Lowell, Dean Hill (Bridget) of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Sam Juarez, Joe Hayden, and Butch Perry.

David was a long-time employee of Amway (1966 – 2005). He was an avid sportsman with a special fondness for bluegill fishing and deer hunting. He also loved to play euchre.

Funeral services for David will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Saranac on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Goodwin presiding. Visitation will be at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Thursday, January 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a rosary at 6:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
