David F. Hitchman

Defended me well back in 2005. Always remembered him fondly. Very sorry to hear this news. Thoughts are with his family.

I was a Fraternity brother of Hitch´s at UMass. The thing about him was that he was always ready with a laugh and great kindness. He had a good-naturedness about him that always made you feel better about yourself. Hadn´t spoken to him in years and a few years back heard from him via Social media. I could feel his smile again through reading his words. I´m sorry for your loss.

To the Hitchman family, I am so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of David. What a nice tribute and that picture is the David I knew. I remember that smile. He was a friendly, funny and always welcoming person. He was around our family for so many years as he was a very close friend of my brother Brian Gallucci. He was loved by my family. My deepest condolences go out to you all. May David rest in peace.

To the Hitchman family, please accept my condolences for the passing of David. I had the pleasure of meeting David, whom I always referred to as "Hitch," through our mutual friend, Brian Gallucci, about thirty years ago. David made a great first impression on me; firm handshake, eye contact, and a friendly smile. David was such a fun guy and I enjoyed the vacations we went on together in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Florida. Of the many things I liked about him I can sum up by just saying David had style and he had a style all his own. What energy and passion he would invoke when he would argue to make a point and I always admired him for that. Like many other people who knew him, I rather liked David. I never met his equal and I don´t think I ever will. Prayers for the repose of his soul.
