David Lloyd Holland David Lloyd Holland, 65, of Henderson, died at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, with his wife, Linda, and grandson, John Allen Risch in a car accident at Highway 425 and Highway 1299, Henderson. He was born Aug. 5, 1944, in Muhlenberg County to Mary Holland and the late Ewell Holland. David was a member of First Baptist Church, Henderson, and was a former teacher and coach in Muhlenberg County, having coached at Graham High School. He was a former principal of Drakesboro High School, assistant superintendent in Muhlenberg County and retired as the Union County School superintendent. His survivors include a son, Shawn (Karin) Holland of Bowling Green; a daughter, Jill Risch of Henderson; grandchildren, Lucas and Rebecca Holland, Lindsey and Jacob Risch; his mother, Mary Holland; brother Joe Holland of Lake Malone; sisters, Reta West of Beechmont and Judy Hawes of Beaver Dam. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lamar and Kenneth Holland. Services conducted by the Rev. Allen Chamness will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
