David R. Holliday, Age 79, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the Harmony House in Cedar Rapids, IA, on Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 12 PM until service time at 1 PM. Gravesite service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Garden of Eternal Love.

David was born on June 19, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was the son of the late Carol D. and Viola (Kidder) Holliday. On May 4, 1974, David married the love of his life, Mary Claflin. David enjoyed hunting and traveling around listening to different bands especially the "Do's and Don'ts". David and Mary travelled together to the Iowa Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame as well as other places. David enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson whenever he could.

Those left to cherish David's memory are his children, Chad Holliday, of Hiawatha, IA, and Sarah Clark, of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Jayden and Mary Clark; his sisters, Donna of Texas, and Debbie (Edwin) Dudley, of Paris, IA. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary, his parents, and his two sons, Jason Holliday, and Eric Claflin.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Salute to the Fallen and or Care Initiatives.
