He was a member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church and retired from Herman Miller-Zeeland plant after more than 40 years of employment.
Dave was the son of John and Jeanette Holstege. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bernard.
He enjoyed golf and many other sports. He had a heart for the teams from Michigan. He loved watching his grandchildren at their sporting events and going on family vacations.
Dave is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine; children and grandchildren, Tim and Crista Holstege (Adilynn, Lacey, Kyler), Lindsey and Dan Wede (Madison, Lucy); sister, Ruth and Bob Gritter.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church St. Holland. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 22, also at Graafschap CRC. Memorial contributions may be given to Zeeland Christian Schools or Graafschap Christian Education Opportunity Fund.
