David Laurence Horner, Sr., age 69, of Quinlan, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his home. David was a stuntman by profession, but he also worked as a truck driver, cook, and in the circus.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna Horner; two sons, Dustien Horner (youngest) and David Horner, Jr. (oldest); his brother, Gary Walker, and his family; his sister, Kasie Smallwood, and her two daughters; and his cousins, Mark Weaver, Laura Weaver, and Molly Cheatham. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Preston J. Walker and Vernall Vines Walker, and by his brother, Steve Walker.
David was born on October 17, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Audrey Vernell Vines Walker. He graduated from Carter High School and spent much of his career at Universal Studios in Florida and Japan. He also worked on numerous movies and television shows. In addition, David drove semis for circuses and event companies, and he proudly served in the military.
David married Dianna Horner on February 14, 1986, at the First United Methodist Church in Oak Cliff, Texas. He had two children, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three dogs, and two cats.
He influenced many people throughout his life and helped others whenever he could. He loved being outdoors. David was loving and passionate toward all his family members and friends—many of whom were like family—and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial will be held in Florida by his stunt family. Another memorial will be held in Texas at a later date.
Much love to everybody who has been here for us and will be in the future.
— David Horner, Jr.
