David J. Huncsik

1960 - 2026

David J. Huncsik left his earthly life on March 24, 2026, at his home in Mt. Pleasant. He was born on June 5, 1960, to Albert and Rita (Meisner) Huncsik and spent his entire life in the Mt. Pleasant community he loved. David worked for many years at the Lennox Glass Factory and was known for his skill and creativity as a talented woodworker. His custom furniture and handcrafted pieces made with care for family and friends reflected both his artistry and generosity. He had a kind heart, a warm sense of humor, and a deep love for animals, especially his beloved cocker spaniels over the years. David is survived by his sister, Michele Piper, and her husband, Varden, of Mt. Pleasant; his niece and goddaughter, Brittany Eischeid, and her husband, Nicholas, of Nocona, TX; his niece, Ashleigh Piper, of Mt. Pleasant; and his great-nephews, Jax and Grant Eischeid, of Mt. Pleasant. He will be especially missed by Jax, who dearly loved his "Uncle David and buddy." David also shared a close bond with dear friends, Rose and Don Sheele, who were like family to him. He cherished his Sunday afternoons catching up with Don at the Shaft Club, where he was a lifetime member. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Rita Huncsik, as well as several beloved aunts and uncles. David will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and the quiet generosity he showed to everyone around him.
