David Jimenez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Red Mountain Funeral Home on Jan. 27, 2026.
David Jimenez, born on May 21, 1968, in Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on December 28, 2025. He was a devoted brother, uncle, friend, and caregiver whose life was defined by compassion, service, and quiet strength.

David grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, where he graduated from Roswell High School before later moving to Phoenix, Arizona. From an early age, he felt a calling to care for others, which shaped both his career and his character. He began his professional life as a Certified Respiratory Therapist and, driven by his deep commitment to service, went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. David proudly served at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Phoenix, Arizona, where he dedicated many years to caring for veterans with professionalism, empathy, and respect, until his retirement.

Outside of his career, David found peace and joy in the simple things. He loved gardening and took great pride in nurturing life, a reflection of his patient and gentle nature. He also shared a special bond with his beloved cats, whom he cared for deeply and who brought him comfort and companionship.

David will be remembered for his compassion, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to helping those in need. His calm presence, kindness, and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his siblings: Daniel Jimenez, Delphina Ponce, Ben R. Jimenez, Mike Jimenez, and Delia A. Jimenez; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him always. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reymundo M. Jimenez and Maria Magdalena Jimenez.

David's legacy lives on in the many lives he touched through his service, care, and quiet generosity. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
