David D. Johnson

David D. Johnson, age 89 of Mellen, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls, WI. David was born on November 11, 1936 in Ashland, the son of Clarence and Alice (Bidgood) Johnson.
On June 20, 1959, he married the love of his life, Eleanor Mae Carlson in Mellen, Wisconsin.
David loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and even learned to polka for his 25th wedding anniversary. He was a loyal member of the Park Falls Polka Club, the Northern Aged Iron Tractor Club and the Congregational United Church of Christ in Mellen, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his daughters, Dale (Butch) Wiles and Irene (Douglas) Mullauer; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Alaina; great-grandson, Noah Gryga.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Eleanor.
A memorial service for David will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Congregational United Church of Christ with Reverend Donald Quigley officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of service.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Mellen Union Cemetery in Mellen, Wisconsin where David and Elenor will be laid to rest.
