David Jorgenson Obituary

Visit the Church & Chapel Funeral Home - New Berlin website to view the full obituary.
Dave, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, joining his beloved wife, Rosemary, shortly after her passing. Married for over 40 years, their love story was the heart of their family and a beautiful example of partnership, devotion, and unconditional love.

Family was everything to him. He found his greatest happiness in time spent with his children and grandchildren, whether it was gathered around the television cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, or the Admirals, or outside in the yard tossing a ball and sharing laughter. He taught his family not only a love of sports, but the importance of togetherness, loyalty, and showing up for one another.

He built a long and respected career in HVAC, helping build Donovan-Jorgenson from the ground up through hard work, integrity, and pride in doing things the right way. He was known for his work ethic, his hilarious sense of humor, and his remarkable ability to tell a story so convincingly that everyone leaned in and believed every word. His humor, kindness, and generosity touched countless lives, both inside and outside his family. David is survived by his children:

- David Jorgenson

- Daniel Jorgenson (spouse Laurie Jorgenson), parents of DJ and Caitlyn; grandparents of Lola and Lucia

- Karen Jorgenson (partner Jason Hofmann)

- Gerald Jorgenson (spouse Sarah Jorgenson), parents of Alia, Dax, and Kai

- Ann Heinzel (spouse Curt Heinzel), parents of Noelle, Brien, Ethan, and Iain

- Elizabeth Russell (spouse Ryan Russell)

- Mitchell Below (spouse Lisa Chamberlain), parents of Grady, Fiona, and Briar

- Matthew Garthwait (spouse Christina Garthwait), parents of Adeline and Celia

He is also survived by his brothers Michael and Ron (Marty).

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished for his loving heart, his laughter, and the lasting impact he made on the many lives he touched.

There will be a time of gathering on Saturday, April 11, from 1:00 PM, until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association, or Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (formerly Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes (Formerly JDRF)) (www.breakthrought1d.org), two causes close to the heart of the family.
