David J. Kelly, a beloved member of the Marion, Indiana community, passed away on February 16, 2025, in Muncie, Indiana, at the age of 67. Born on March 2, 1957, in Marion, he spent his life dedicating himself to his family, career, and myriad passions.

David enjoyed a fulfilling career as a journeyman at Rardough, formerly known as Ball Glass, where he was highly regarded for his skills and work ethic. His commitment to his craft reflected his dedication to excellence, which carried over into all aspects of his life.

A cherished member of the Sons of AmVets Post 23 in Hartford City, Indiana, David was a die-hard Colts fan and took immense joy in watching the games with friends and family. His love for cars was well-known, particularly his pride in his 1968 Ford Fairlane and the powerful roar of his 2011 Challenger. David found happiness while working on cars, often accompanied by his son and the sounds of ZZ Top resonating in the garage as they engaged in their shared passion.

He cherished quality time spent with his daughter at Disney World, bringing their bond to life in memories of swimming in the ocean and sharing laughter over the possibility of encountering a shark. David's zest for life was further enriched by the eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought him boundless joy.

David is survived by Cathy Trewyn, his life partner; Chad (Mandi Smith) Kelly and Heather (Joey) Cummings, his children; Amber (Foster Brooks) Alexander, his stepdaughter; Danney (Tim) Yeakle, his stepson; and brothers Mike and Jack Kelly. He is deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Kelly; his mother, Wiemer M. Kelly; his son, Anthony Kelly; brothers Ross and Rex Kelly; and sisters Joanetta Adams and Sarah and Barbara Kelly.

Visitation will be held at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home in Marion, located at 1202 West Kem Road, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on February 24, 2025. A funeral service will follow on February 25, starting at 12:00 PM with interment thereafter.
