David Kerr Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Broussard's Mortuary - McFaddin Avenue on Dec. 31, 2025.
David Kerr was born on December 25, 1956, and he was called to join the Lord on December 29, 2025, at the age of 69.

David was born in Vidor, Texas to Marvin and Mary Kerr. He grew up in Beaumont with his parents and two brothers, Rocky and Charlie spending many years fishing and playing sports. Eventually, his wife, children and grandchildren would become the center of his world. He married the love of his life, Terry Kerr. They had five beautiful children: Jack, Hannah, Callie, Shelby & Joshua and raised their family in Lumberton, Texas. His family was a reflection of the love David went around sharing with the world.

David attended French High School in Beaumont, Texas from 1971-1975, where lifelong friendships were built.

David worked for Veolia for over twenty years where he eventually retired from. He was a dedicated man that provided for his family and those that he loved.

David was a man's man. He led his family toward our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, a doting father and a wonderful grandfather. His grandkids always brought a BIG smile to his face. His great loves were hunting and fishing and he shared this passion with everyone. He was loved, respected and cherished by so many within the community.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Kerr; children, Jack Kerr and his wife, Amy, of Nederland; Hannah Morris and her husband, Don Perez, of Georgetown; Callie Gaudet and her husband, Ryan, of Kingwood; Shelby Kerr and his wife, Heather, of Gladewater; and Joshua Kerr of Kingwood; brothers, Rocky Kerr of Lumberton, and Charlie Kerr of Beaumont; grandchildren, Seth Williamson, Addy Williamson, Jaycelyn Morris, Mason Perez, Connor Gaudet, Kyah Gaudet, Callum Kerr, and Liam and Bentley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Marvin Kerr.
